ADAME GARBOTA

Drinking a cup of Adame Garbota is like walking through a blossoming citrus orchard! We are tasting hibiscus, lime, raspberry, white grape, jasmine and nougat. We love the creamy body mixed with the juicy acidity. This coffee has beautiful complexity with layers of sweetness that will have you finding new flavors throughout the cup.

Description

The Adame Garbota is sourced from family-owned farms organized around the Adame Garbota Cooperative located in the Wenago district within the coffee region of Yirgacheffe in the Gedeo Zone, Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples’ Region, Ethiopia. The Adame Garbota Cooperative currently has 533 members. In 2011, the cooperative joined the Yirgacheffe Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union (YCFCU), an umbrella organization established 2002 to support a sustainable coffee supply from cooperatives in the Gedeo ethnic region of Ethiopia. There are twenty-six other cooperatives affiliated with the YCFCU totaling more than 45,000 members.

This coffee was fermented underwater for 12-24 hours, washed with clean spring water, soaked for another 12-24 hours, and dried on raised beds

Adame Garbota is floral and exotic. We love this coffee for its balance, luxurious silky body, and intense aromas and acidity.
