Our first offering from Peru, it is the most quality-driven coffee we have ever had from the origin. The Familia Colunche have been producing coffee on their farm for over 15 years and historically have delivered it to a local co-op. The father of the family, always enjoyed experimenting and perfecting his processes. He got to the point where he felt all this hard work was getting lost by being mixed with the rest of the co-op. Knowing this brought them to the decision to break away from the co-op and start producing their own micro-lots. This harvest is the first of those micro-lots that have ever made it to the US! We are extremely excited to have the opportunity to get to roast and share it.

We are in awe every time we taste this coffee as the terroir is so perfectly represented through careful processing. It is incredibly clean with notes of cardamom, cinnamon, lemon, rosehip, brown sugar and vanilla. It has a tea-like body and soft acidity that let the aromatics shine, while the sweetness carries on into the finish.
