Description
You have not seen many blends from Peixoto Coffee in the past because we typically like highlighting the natural characteristics of each coffee cultivar and its origin individually. When we do offer a blend, it is because we want to compose a beverage that will bring together harmonious flavors in a way that a single-origin coffee could not do on its own.
When we think about blends, we think of flavor profiles that have stood out to us and are easily translatable to everyone. When creating the Frutas we had one thing in mind — chocolate-covered strawberries! That incredibly juicy strawberry with the rich chocolate and lingering sweetness perfectly balance out each other — a flavor combination that you remember for the rest of your life.
When selecting the ideal components for our Frutas Blend, our primary goal was to find flavors that could complement and enhance the deeply rich chocolate notes of our signature Peixoto Doce. We initially used Natural Ethiopian coffees, which we had previously enjoyed for their vibrant and diverse fruit notes. However, through years of experimentation and innovations on the farm we have been able to recreate this flavor profile with our own Natural processed experimental lots. These innovations led to a coffee characterized by an intensely fruity profile, featuring dominant notes of ripe strawberries. This unique component not only accentuates the richness of the Peixoto Doce but also introduces an exciting layer of complexity to the Frutas Blend, making it a truly exceptional coffee experience.
We love how comforting this can be to drink, while still holding your attention. Brews on everything from auto-drip to espresso with ease.
