Throughout the pandemic, our priority has been to Throughout the pandemic, our priority has been to keep our team healthy so we could continue to serve our community. Through the unexpected course of the pandemic, our team continued to serve our community with love and kindness, no matter what was thrown their way. Looking back on last year our business model had to be changed, sometimes overnight, to adapt to the ever-evolving health and safety rules. Our team showed the utmost resilience by adapting every single time and keeping their focus on offering our customer a positive experience, no matter what was going on.

We could not be more grateful and proud of our team. This is exactly what Família is all about: caring for one another like family!

I just want to take a moment today to recognize and appreciate all the work of all our Família, 7 days a week, 12 hours a day, literally through thick and thin, to serve our community. We know we have the best team who are giving, helpful, and loving towards everyone that comes through our doors. Thank You, Família!

In order to continue to protect our team, we will be keeping all our safety measures in place. It does not make sense to us to lift those restrictions until our team is truly protected which will be when everyone in our staff is completely immunized.

• Proper masks are still required to enter and move about in our space
• We will continue to operate with a limited number of seats and time for those who want to seat inside our shop.
• All drinks are served to-go
• Pexi-glass barriers will stay in place.

We are anxiously waiting for the day we can all be safe, duly vaccinated, so we can start going back to operating like we did before. In the meantime, thank you for understanding that by supporting our safety measures you are supporting our Família!

❤️
Julia Peixoto Peters, Owner.
Second most FAQ: Q: are you open for inside seati Second most FAQ:

Q: are you open for inside seating?

A: Yes! We are open inside our shop for ordering and we also have a few seating areas where 1-2 people can sit and enjoy their drink for a while. Masks are 💯 % required to enter our space and when not seating or sipping on your beverage.

We’ve added a few more seats recently, on the weekends they go pretty fast but during the week the chances of finding a spot to seat are pretty high.

We love seeing our wonderful customers again! Come find your favorite corner to sip & relax here.

PS (update posted at 12:57pm):

The Governor’s order does not change our house rules. We will only lift seating restrictions when all of us working at Peixoto receive our immunization. The mask requirement in our space will be in place for the foreseeable future.

During the course of the pandemic we have been erring on the side of caution and we will continue to do so and take steps to protect our and our customers’ health. Thank you!
Today is the day to celebrate the life and legacy Today is the day to celebrate the life and legacy of Bobby Kramer, a friend in our community who was taken away too soon in a tragic way. Bobby was a beverage director at @brickyarddwtn @hiddenhouseaz , he was a father to his son Arthur (2), a husband to his wife Lindsay, a friend to many in our community, a beautiful and bright source of kindness and joy to those lucky enough like us who crossed paths with him.

Today many businesses across our @downtownchandler community and The Valley will be offering specials to honor Bobby’s spirit and legacy, and to raise funds for his family. It is amazing to see the impact Bobby had on many all over The Valley, this is all happening because of how he lived his life.

We will be offering a mocktail “Bobby’s Boozy Cold Brew” inspired by some of the cocktails Bobby created at the Brickyard. We brewed a special cold brew base for this mocktail, served with a boozy caramelized bourbon syrup, angostura aromatic bitters, and a twist of orange. All proceeds of this drink will go to Bobby’s memorial funds. We will also have a separate tip jar for whose who wish to donate more.

Available 12-6pm today.

Come celebrate Bobby with us and all the other businesses participating. Here are some: @mingleandgraze @sleepywhale19 @hiddenhouseaz @brickyarddwtn @sibleyswest @thelocalchandler @pedalhausbrewery @worthtakeaway @cidercorps @murphyslawirishpub @ghettyotaco
Introducing our first-ever coffee from Rwanda: wa Introducing our first-ever coffee from Rwanda: washed Busanze 🇷🇼

We adore this coffee for its juicy acidity and heavy sweetness. We are tasting gooseberry, grapefruit, and brown sugar, reminding us of some delicious coffees from Kenya we’ve tasted in the past.

Here’s the fascinating back story of this coffee and the person who produced it.

François Tuyishime has led a hard and inspiring life, in one of the many communities in Rwanda which were ravaged by the genocide against Tutsi in 1994. At six years old, François survived the genocide by hiding in the famous Mibirizi Parish in Rusizi.

Coffee business has been part of François’ family for over four decades. As a boy, he grew up seeing his father in coffee farmer working alongside the farmers providing a sustainable income for his family. He instilled this same drive into his son to not only use coffee for income, but also as a tool to build and support communities. Through this initiative started by his father’s ambition, a portion of Yego’s (François’ importing business) income goes to providing lunches and school fees in the villages where coffee farmers live.

The Busanze washing station is located on the edge of the Nyungwe forest, the canopy creates shade for the coffee trees to grow, which helps with the density and moisture of the coffee cherry. Nyaruguru is now a beacon of unity and reconciliation.

This coffee went through the standard washed process, after the cherries are picked, they got depulped and put into tanks for 16-25 hours to ferment.  Once the fermentation period was done, the coffee was moved onto drying tables under shade to be sorted. After sorting, the coffee was moved to raised beds in direct sunlight to dry for an average of 21 days. When coffee reached an acceptable moisture content it was taken to the dry mill where they removed the parchment and then electronic, density and screen size sorted the green coffee.

We are honored to be representing François’ coffee and story of resilience and hope and be sharing it with our community.

Available in bags and pour over in store, curbside and online. 🇷🇼

We agree, not typically a sweet drink combination, this curry latte will create new pathways in your brain and palates 🤯 .

Raees is a highly successful attorney, an ASU professor who specializes in start-up business law and puts out some really helpful legal contents for small businesses on his social media. He is also a father, a husband, a friend, a great cook, a coffee enthusiast, and the one who helped us develop this unusual beverage.

Give the Indian Raees latte a try and let us know how it tastes for you. Anything goes, we can handle the heat! 🌶 ☕️
While we are all excited about our far-away travel While we are all excited about our far-away travels menu , South of the Ecuador and the Tropic of Capricorn, the work at our farm @fazendapeixoto never stops to prepare for the harvest 2021. The coffee cycle is continuous, whether we are preparing the land, putting necessary elements back to the soil, watching the rain patterns, caring for the trees, harvesting, or processing.

Our coffee cherries are developing well this year with an abundance of rain during the past Summer months in Brazil. Between March and June, the cherries will continue to grow and ripen, before they can be harvested in June and July.

Also, notice other fructiferous trees, like the avocado and banana trees both protecting and thriving amongst coffee trees and bearing fruits!

We love showing you the consumer side of coffee but we also love to show the agricultural background work that takes place to bring you the best coffees, from our land to your life!

The Persian femme herself trying our Persian tea l The Persian femme herself trying our Persian tea latte. This is Mahfam, she owns the cutest cheese & charcuterie shop and eatery here in downtown @mingleandgraze we are lucky to call neighbors.

The Persian tea latte was inspired by Mahfam’s culture and heritage, she so graciously shares with us. She taught us how to hand-grind the saffron strands with a mortar and pestle and incorporate into our tea latte.

This drink carries the flavors of a Bastani Sonnati, a Persian ice-cream made with saffron, milk, rose water, pistachio and rose petals. Beautiful flavors reflecting a beautiful culture, like our friend behind this drink!

🌶 Raees Latte 🌶

Espresso + sweet & spicy Indian curry* + coconut cream + choice of milk + dusted with spices.

Yes an Indian curry latte has been created here and the person to thank is Raees Mohamed, one of our regular customers and most fierce supporters. Before the pandemic, it was not uncommon to find Raees sitting in a corner of our shop doing his lawyering work. When he learned that we were releasing a new menu with drinks from around the world, he suggested and helped us develop an Indian latte. We started mixing our own spices and the result is a sweet drink with noticeable heat 🌶 that transports you to one of the most vibrant cities in Southern India.

Here’s Raees in his own words: “the Indian Raees Latte takes me to my family's hometown of Bangalore. The depth of flavors walk me through the vibrant and deep cultural experiences in the "Garden City" while the coconut cream replicates its tropical breezy climate. The people of Bangalore are warm and lively, like the welcoming flavors of my latte. And who can forget the world famous spices, and the dash of heat the city offers.”

The name Raees means rich in Farsi and president in Arabic. We are excited to be serving this multi-faceted latte, that elicits an elevated experience of aromatics, flavors, textures, and sentiments.

🎋Pandan Matcha🎋

Culinary grade matcha +
Pandan whole leaves + palm sugar infusion + choice of milk.

Pandan is an aromatic plant that is prized for its sweet floral fragrance and versatility typically grown in Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and China. In Southeast Asian cuisine, pandan leaves are used to lend a unique taste and aroma to flavor desserts and drinks as well as savory dishes. Pandan leaves have a naturally sweet taste and soft aroma. Its flavor is strong with hints of rose, almond, and vanilla, verging on coconut. We combine it with Palm sugar, which is a sweetener made from the sap in coconut palm trees. It has a mild caramel flavor and is often considered a healthier alternative to other sweeteners due to its production that involves minimal processing.

In David’s words “ Pandan pairs really well with our culinary grade matcha, complementing it with its sweet and floral fragrance without overwhelming it. It is a dessert in a cup!”

Come experience a voyage to exciting far-away destinations through our Spring Menu. Starts tomorrow, Friday!
